In March 2026, the Patient Association for CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy), GBS (Guillain-Barré Syndrome), and MMN (Multifocal Motor Neuropathy) was officially established, with the aim of improving the position and quality of life of people living with these rare neurological conditions in the Republic of Serbia.

The establishment of the association marks an important step toward raising awareness among patients, their families, and the wider public about these conditions, which are often underrecognized and insufficiently understood. The association will focus on providing support to patients, sharing experiences, education, and cooperation with healthcare institutions and professionals in order to improve diagnosis and treatment.

One of the key goals of the association is to advocate for patients’ interests before relevant institutions, ensuring better access to therapies, rehabilitation, and rights within the healthcare and social protection systems.

The association also plans to actively participate in international initiatives and connect with similar organizations worldwide, with the aim of bringing knowledge and best practices into the local context.

Patients, family members, healthcare professionals, and all interested individuals are invited to visit the official website www.cidp-gbs-mmn.rs, learn more about its activities, and join the effort to improve the lives of those affected.
